1. Background and Challenge

As video meetings have become a regular communication method, users now expect a natural communication experience that goes beyond simple screen delivery and feels closer to face-to-face interaction. However, existing flat display-based video communication has limitations in delivering enough sense of space and presence. Because of this, the customer reviewed new 3D display technology partners for the development of a next-generation 3D video communication system.

2. MOPIC’s Solution

After comparing and evaluating several 3D display technology companies, the customer selected MOPIC as its final technology partner based on optical performance, stereoscopic resolution, and manufacturing capability. After that, MOPIC and the customer jointly developed a display engineering mock-up for a next-generation 3D video communication system.
