3D videos, footage, and images can be viewed with no separate 3D-conversion step, through applications such as MOPIC Mirror.

A Stereo Image is a 3D content format that already contains both the left-eye and right-eye images. Common formats include HSBS, FSBS, Top & Bottom, and Frame Packing.

Because this content already carries binocular-disparity information, it can be output in 3D with no additional conversion. It therefore needs none of the extra depth generation or AI-based conversion required when converting ordinary 2D footage.

And because the source contains real left/right viewpoint information, the depth is generally more stable and more natural.
